In the vineyard
Viticulturally, winemakers at the Mosel have a love/hate relationship with their vineyards. The work is extremely demanding but the rewards are grand. Hosting some of the best viticultural sites at the Mosel, we concentrate our focus on promoting healthy meso and microclimates within our vineyards. As with everything associated with winegrowing, balance is the key to harvesting healthy, aromatic fruit.
In the winery
Our main aim in the cellar is to reflect the viticultural and weather conditions the vines were exposed to during any given vintage. We achieve this by adopting clean, controlled winemaking techniques, avoiding manipulation. Blending individual vineyard characteristics (see Wine Style) is a very important process at Römer Hof, assisting us to produce congruous wines.
